The Fairest and the Tallest of our Female Giants

This gigantic 13 foot floating sculpture appeared in Hamburg , Germany. She was named Die Badende-The Bather. She was quite an attraction for viewers and boaters .But others called her an eyesore and water hazard. So, in August 2011, after only 11 days she was taken down. But she fits nicely to lead in this following post.

This post is long overdue. This was meant to follow Real Life Giants. But that post only covered the male giants. There are women who qualify as giant status. None have reached eight feet but still tower over their companions.

I have set the bar at 6 feet 8 inches. Will we get every female of that height and over ? Maybe not, but we will give it a shot. So settle back and here we go.

There actually was a tall lady that hit 8-foot 1 inch. Zeng Jinlian of the Hunan Province of China. Died in 1982. Recorded as tallest female ever.

Close to eight feet was a Jane Bunford at 7 feet 11 inches. There is no info or photo of her, but she is listed in the Guinness Records.

Sandy Allen at 7 feet 7 inches. She was one of the most famous of female giants. She died in August 2008.

Another Chinese lady. Yao Defew at 7 feet 7 inches.

Rumeysa Gelgi of Turkey. At 7 feet 7 inches she is the tallest Living Lady, and registered by Guinness World Records. Tormented and bullied as a child, she goes on tours to inspire others and promote body positivity.
